Whether in our 4-wheel drive open air Jeep, a Highlander SUV or one of our spacious vans, your trip into the Back Country will be an Adventure you will never forget. See the unspoiled wilderness of Catalina Island with its breathtaking views, herds of buffalo roaming free, eagles soaring overhead and magnificent landscape views.
You'll take off into the wild with one of our well-versed and friendly drivers. They will share the history and culture of the Island as well as some entertaining stories along the way. Stop for pictures or just to smell the fresh air whenever you like. This personal Back Country Adventure will show you Catalina in a whole new way!
Complimentary champagne is offered for Adventures of 2 hours or more.
We can accommodate groups of sizes up to 7 people.
Cost: $94/hour plus city admissions tax (includes $10/hour Conservancy fee) for interior charters

Land and Sea Package
A two-part, 4-hour Adventure
Catalina by Land
Up to 6 people will enjoy a 2-hour trip in the Back Country of Catalina Island. Start in Avalon and head into the 88% of the island preserved in its natural state. You will see buffalo roaming free, eagles flying overhead, spectacular views as well as the historic Airport in the Sky. This group will be dropped off at Two Harbors where they will begin their 2-hour adventure back to Avalon through the open seas.
Complimentary champagne included with the land portion of your adventure.
Catalina by Sea
Up to 6 people will see the marine life and coastal views of Catalina Island on a 2-hour boat ride that begins in Avalon. See the bright orange Garibaldi fish, the protected state fish of California, as well as dolphins, seals and sea lions, whales and flying fish (flying fish visit Catalina in the summer). You will boat over to Two Harbors for a visit. From there you will begin the 2nd part of your adventure on land.
Complimentary water and soft drinks included with boat ride.
Snacks or lunch are available for purchase at Two Harbors as well as the Airport in the Sky.
We can accommodate up to 12 people per package, minimum of 4.

Feel like hiking only one way? We will drop you off so you can enjoy the hike up or back without overdoing it. You can start your hike at either the Summit or at Haypress, it¹s your choice.

Airport in the Sky Package
Back Country Adventure With a Stop at the Airport in the Sky
Enjoy a 2-hour personalized scenic charter through the Back Country of the Island with a stop at the beautiful "Airport in the Sky". Go to the top and, along the way, you will learn the history of the Island from one of our specialized drivers. We go when you say go. We stop when you say stop.
The Airport in the Sky was built in 1946 and is at the center of the island, 10 miles from the city of Avalon. From every direction you will see the rolling landscape of the island. The interior slopes down giving views of the distant waters.
Enjoy a meal or snack at the Runway Café or have one of their famed Buffalo burgers. You will see sights and magnificent views along the way while learning fascinating historical tidbits from one of our well-versed drivers.
