-Journey Catalina Jeep Eco Tours- 

Create your own adventure and journey into the REAL Catalina. All tours are private giving you the flexibility to explore the island at your own pace.  Our knowledgeable and friendly drivers will pick you up in a 6-passenger open-air Jeep and transport you to Catalina Island's Wildside. Tours run daily beginning as early as 8:00 am. Below we list a few scheduled tours that can be booked online.  However, each tour can be customized to fit your schedule and the experience you're looking for. Customized tours with added time will be charged on an hourly rate, please call our Main Office at (310)510-0342 for details about customized tours.  

Spanish speaking tour guides are available upon request.

 


2.5 Hour Bison Jeep Eco Tour- $337.00 per vehicle (up to 6 passengers)

Price includes all taxes and fees. 12% of the proceeds go to support the Catalina Island Conservancy. Gratuity not included.

  • Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide
  • Open-air Jeep with 360° views
  • Take a scenic road up to the Airport in the Sky and see spectacular views

Restrictions

 Most of the roads on this tour are unpaved and very bumpy so passengers with high blood pressure, heart, neck or back problems, motion sickness or other conditions could be aggravated by this tour.

 

 For safety reasons all passengers should be ambulatory.

 

If there will be children as passengers on our tours who require a car seat or booster seat; you may include a rental of the seat for $10.00 in your booking for the duration of the tour only. We have a limited supply so reservations are required. 

Frequently Asked Questions

What to bring and wear?

Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended to wear on our tours.  Since the Jeep is open-air you may also want to bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.  A light sweater or jacket may be necessary for cooler weather.  You are also welcome to bring any snacks or drinks with you on the tour.  While gratuity is not required it is always appreciated.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are not required but are recommended especially during the busy summer season.  Our booking site will allow you to book a tour up to 16 hours in advance or you can call 310-510-0342 for additional availability.  Reservations are highly recommended for groups of 7 or more as they will require more than 1 vehicle for a tour.  Our Jeeps hold up to 6 passengers.

Where do we meet?

Our Main Office at 228 Metropole Ave across from the Catalina Island Museum. We do provide the option to pick you up at a location of your choice when you make your reservation.

Are there restrooms available on the tour?

Yes there will be a couple of opportunities to stop.  The main stop will be the Airport-in-the-Sky which has a full restroom plus a gift shop & snack bar.
